About "breathable" T-shirts. Anybody have any ideas?

I'm a teacher at a preschool/kindergarten. Last summer I couldn't find any shirts that would help keep me cool. Also it's quite embarrassing to have the sweat showing through on my back and chest. I'm the only male teacher in the school. I obviously can't wear the "mesh" type T-shirts. Is their any type of material that can help me avoid these problems.

They make these great polo shirts at Wal-mart in the Men's section that are made for golfers. I can't remember the brand, but they're hard to miss - always shown on a stand with a someone golfing. When my boyfriend bought them, they were only about $12 each. He loves them. They're made of a nylon silk I think (at least they feel that way) and they don't show sweat at all.
