how can i lace up my vans zapato de barco shoes?
i thought it would be an easy task so i took off the lace of one of my shoes that i cleaned to see if i would be able to put the lace back on but its pretty fucking hard! here is a picture of the shoes http://www.complex.com/SNEAKERS/Features/Spring-Flings/Boat-Shoes?page=3
Use a method similar to replacing the wires inside of a house. You'll need to find some thin but hard metal to help pull the string through the leather and holes.
Once you have the metal wire, thread it through the area you'll be putting the string. Next attach one end to the shoe's laces. My suggestion is to wrap it around NOT the hard end, but the softer area behind the end. Tape the wire to the hard end of the lace and then GENTLY pull the lace through the shoe.
While pulling the lace (and even the wire) through the shoe, you should push down on the leather to make it more round (open up the hole). Be supportive of the wire and lace and try not to force them, except as necessary. This is a example of where the slow and cautious wins the race.
